The devil is smiling. For too long, the book of Revelation, which is Scripture’s final and most glorious description of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, has been veiled by a cloud of controversy, plagued by conflicting interpretations that too often conceal rather than reveal Him. One reason for this is that so many interpretations of the book require us to look outside of Scripture for their meaning. This has not only left us feeling that only “the scholars” can understand it, but it has led to broadly divergent opinions and therefore, to great confusion. Admittedly, Revelation’s presentation of Christ is described in language that is at times challenging, yet Christ is always discernible there without looking beyond the pages of Scripture. This series attempts to reveal the Son of God for all who desire to see Him. When He is visible, He is not as our dim and limited perception might imagine Him to be, but as He has revealed Himself to be.
